Popular Nigerian skitmaker and singer Nasboi has ignited widespread reactions online after revealing his strong stance on keeping marital issues off social media.

The content creator disclosed that he considers the public exposure of private relationship matters a dealbreaker. Taking to his official page on X on Tuesday, Nasboi stated that he would end his marriage if his partner ever brings their personal issues to the internet.

“If she ever brings our private marital issues to the internet, I will divorce her,” he wrote, making it clear that while he is comfortable with public attention as an entertainer, he draws a firm boundary when it comes to his marriage.

His comment quickly sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms, with Nigerians debating whether his position reflects healthy relationship boundaries or controlling tendencies.

Supporters argued that marriage should remain private, noting that resolving conflicts offline helps preserve trust and dignity. Many also pointed out that once personal issues are shared online, they can leave a permanent digital footprint that may affect families, careers and even children in the future.

On the other hand, critics suggested that such a rigid stance could be seen as extreme, arguing that every relationship should allow space for expression and support, especially in difficult situations.

This is not the first time Nasboi has emphasised his preference for privacy. In January 2025, he reiterated his desire to maintain a low key marriage, away from public scrutiny and online interference.

The debate highlights ongoing conversations about privacy, boundaries and the role of social media in modern relationships.
