Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has said that members of the All Progressives Congress in the state have openly expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Radda made the statement on Saturday while speaking with journalists during the party’s ongoing exercise in his hometown, describing the process as a demonstration of internal democracy and party unity within the APC.

According to him, party members across wards and local government areas participated actively in the exercise aimed at endorsing President Tinubu as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.

“We are here to exercise our rights as APC members. Every APC member is supposed to be in his ward and local government to cast his vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be our candidate for the 2027 general elections,” Radda said.

He commended the turnout of party supporters, noting that it reflected strong confidence in both the APC leadership and the country’s democratic process. He added that his participation was in line with his role as a party member exercising his political rights.

Radda further stated that the level of participation demonstrated clear support for President Tinubu’s leadership and his anticipated second term in office.

“What we saw today has given us confidence and strengthened us that in 2027, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will come back for his second term to steer the affairs of this nation,” he said.

The governor also dismissed opposing narratives, insisting that President Tinubu continues to enjoy widespread support within the APC structure in Katsina State.

“All this noise by the noisemakers who are creating negative impressions is not true. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on ground and is being supported by the teeming APC members in the state,” he added.

He concluded that the exercise was a strong indication of the party’s readiness for future elections, expressing confidence that the APC would record victories across all levels in 2027.
