A Public Affairs Analyst and Anioma indigene Tonnie Oganah has expressed strong support for Ned Nwoko as the better representative for Delta North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections stating that his performance surpasses that of former governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

In a detailed statement Oganah compared the records of both leaders acknowledging their political experience but insisting that Nwoko’s contributions to Anioma people and Delta State stand out. He argued that while both politicians have purchased nomination forms to return to the Senate Nwoko’s achievements and legislative efforts give him a clear edge.

Oganah highlighted Nwoko’s sponsorship of the Anioma State creation bill describing it as a transformative initiative capable of unlocking economic opportunities jobs and development for the region. According to him the bill has gained significant progress including first and second readings as well as political backing.

He criticised Okowa’s tenure as governor claiming that it lacked enduring infrastructure and industrial development. He further argued that key opportunities to advance Anioma interests were not fully utilised during Okowa’s eight years in office.

The analyst also pointed to several development proposals associated with Nwoko including the completion of the Ogwashi Uku dam improved electricity supply through Ukpai power and the construction of the Aboh coastal road all of which he said would significantly improve economic conditions in Anioma.

Oganah added that Nwoko’s investments such as a private university in Idumuje Ugboko alongside empowerment programmes scholarships and community projects demonstrate a long term commitment to development beyond politics.

While acknowledging the challenges ahead he urged Anioma people to support Nwoko’s re election bid emphasising that sustained representation would help realise key projects including the creation of Anioma State and broader regional development.
