The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, has announced that physical and credential screening for 50,000 police conle applicants will commence nationwide on March 9, 2026. The exercise will run until April 18, 2026, across all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

PSC spokesperson Torty Njoku advised applicants who completed the online recruitment registration to log in to the official portal to confirm their status and print essential documents for their designated screening venues.

Applicants are required to present several documents, including their guarantors form, application submission slip, invitation slip, credential screening form, physical screening form, original National Identity Number (NIN) or NIMC card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, state or local government certificate, trade test certificate for specialists, and two white flat files containing original and duplicate copies of credentials with recent passport photographs.

Candidates are also instructed to wear white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings to the screening centres, as indicated on their invitation slips.

PSC Chairman Hashimu Salihu Argungu emphasized that the recruitment exercise is entirely free and does not require any payment. He reassured applicants that the process will be conducted transparently and warned against fraudsters or online impostors attempting to exploit the recruitment process. Anyone caught engaging in fraudulent activity will face arrest and prosecution.

The screening represents a major step in strengthening manpower and enhancing security across Nigeria. The PSC reiterated that this recruitment is part of ongoing efforts to build a more effective and accountable Nigeria Police Force to ensure public safety nationwide.
