Popular Nigerian streamer Peller has revealed that his mother has advised him not to give money to his father, adding a new layer to ongoing online discussions about family responsibility among internet personalities.
Peller made the disclosure during a livestream while reacting to the trending family controversy involving content creator GehGeh, whose sibling recently accused him of neglecting his family despite his financial success.
GehGeh had earlier defended himself, stating that although he is the first in his lineage to achieve financial ility, he does not earn enough to lift his entire family out of poverty. He explained that he can only “do his best, not his all,” while advising his siblings to seek employment opportunities.
Reacting to the situation, Peller shared his own experiences with family expectations and financial pressure. He claimed his father had previously threatened legal action against him and continues to request financial assistance despite past support.
According to him, he has already given his father significant financial help, including purchasing a car, yet the requests for money reportedly continued shortly after.
Peller also stated that his mother prefers he stops sending money to his father, although he continues to support him out of gratitude for funding his education.
He further claimed to have opened multiple businesses for his mother, expressing frustration over what he described as increasing financial demands from family members.
The discussion has sparked wider conversation on social media about the pressures faced by young influencers and entertainers who become primary financial providers for their families.
