The board also announced that the examination date has been shifted from June 6 to June 13 to allow more candidates complete their registration process.

This was disclosed in a statement issued in Benin by the Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah. According to him, the approval for the extension was granted by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Aminu Mohammed.

Olisah explained that the directive was communicated through an internal memorandum signed by the Director of Examinations Administration, Chigoziem Metu.

He stated that the decision followed several requests from prospective candidates who needed additional time to complete their registration formalities before the deadline.

According to the board, registration for the National Common Entrance Examination will now officially close on Sunday, May 31, while the examination itself will hold on Saturday, June 13.

The registrar encouraged entrepreneurially minded students and candidates interested in gaining admission into technical colleges to take advantage of the extension and participate in the examination.

The National Common Entrance Examination is conducted annually for admission into technical colleges across Nigeria and is aimed at promoting technical and vocational education among young Nigerians.
