Iran’s foreign minister has reiterated that the country’s nuclear enrichment program remains non negotiable as discussions with the United States continue through indirect diplomatic channels. Speaking during a press briefing, the minister stated that enrichment activities are conducted within Iran’s national framework and reflect what Tehran describes as its sovereign rights.

The remarks come as mediators attempt to facilitate dialogue aimed at easing tensions and addressing concerns over Iran’s nuclear activities. Western governments have sought assurances that enrichment levels will remain consistent with civilian energy purposes, while Iran has maintained that sanctions relief must form a central component of any agreement.

Diplomatic sources indicate that discussions are focused on confidence building measures, verification mechanisms, and potential economic incentives. However, significant differences remain over inspection access and enrichment thresholds.

Regional observers warn that unresolved nuclear disputes could heighten inility across the Middle East. At the same time, some analysts believe sustained diplomatic engagement may reduce the risk of escalation.

Iranian officials have emphasized that negotiations must respect national dignity and legal rights under international frameworks. The United States has signaled that it remains open to dialogue but expects concrete steps to address proliferation concerns.
