Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has unveiled his official portrait for his second term in office, urging all public and private offices across the state to adopt the new image.

The portrait was officially released on the governor’s Facebook page on Tuesday, ahead of his inauguration ceremony. Soludo directed that all previous portraits used during his first term should be discarded, and the new portrait, captured by his official photographer Chinedu Eri, should be displayed in offices immediately.

“Ahead of my inauguration ceremony for a second term in office, my new official portrait, captured by my official photographer, Chinedu Eri, has been released. This portrait replaces all previous ones and takes immediate effect,” Soludo said.

He called on all government and non-government institutions to take note and comply with the directive, ensuring the portrait is prominently displayed in their offices.

The unveiling comes as Soludo and his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, were sworn in for a second term on Tuesday. The Chief Judge of the State Justice Onochie Anyachebelu administered the oaths of office and allegiance to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the governor and his deputy.

Soludo’s directive highlights the importance of official state symbols in promoting governance, continuity, and recognition of leadership. Observers note that official portraits serve as a visual reminder of the administration’s presence and authority across institutions in the state.

The release of the new portrait also marks the start of Soludo’s second term, signalling continuity in governance and a fresh chapter for Anambra State under his leadership.
