The All Progressives Congress All Progressives Congress has announced that it will not extend the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party’s National Chairman, Nantewe Yilwatda, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja while addressing journalists. He said the party is strictly following its scheduled timetable for all electoral activities and will not deviate unless formally decided by the National Working Committee.

According to him, any decision to extend the deadline would follow due process, but for now, there is no approval or indication of such an extension. He emphasized that the APC remains committed to its electoral roadmap.

Yilwatda also described the ongoing sale process as smooth and well organized, adding that it reflects the party’s internal democracy and broad participation among members. He noted that the high level of interest in contesting positions within the party demonstrates its popularity across the country.

He further stated that even presidential aspirants have begun picking nomination forms, which he said underscores the openness of the party’s political structure and competitive nature.

The APC chairman added that banks handling payments for the forms are working efficiently alongside party officials overseeing the process to ensure transparency and orderliness.

He concluded that the party is confident the ongoing preparations will lead to successful primaries and ultimately strengthen its chances in the 2027 general elections.
