Controversial Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has publicly challenged Grammy award winning singer Wizkid to a celebrity boxing match, escalating an ongoing online feud between the two entertainers.
Carter Efe made the challenge during a recent livestream session with music executive Kcee and businessman E-Money, shortly after claiming a symbolic victory over singer Portable in a celebrity boxing setting.
During the livestream, Carter Efe stated that he now wants to step into the ring with Wizkid and even suggested that Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, should be present during the fight.
He said the proposed match would be an opportunity for Wizkid to “come and collect the championship” if he is confident enough.
“The person I want to fight with now is Wizkid and I want his son Boluwatife to be there too. Let him come and collect the championship from me if he is man enough,” he said.
The tension between Carter Efe and Wizkid reportedly stems from past disagreements after Carter Efe released a tribute song titled Manchala in honour of the singer. He later accused Wizkid of not showing sufficient support for the track.
Wizkid has largely ignored the streamer’s repeated public comments and has not responded to the latest boxing challenge.
The development adds to a growing trend of celebrity boxing callouts within Nigeria’s entertainment space, where online personalities and musicians increasingly use social media platforms to stage public rivalries.
