Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold has shared insights about his family life, revealing that his daughter is already showing signs of a possible future in music.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Great Day 20 podcast, the singer said music runs strongly in his household as both he and his wife Simi are musicians and their daughter is already displaying a natural interest in sound and rhythm.
Adekunle Gold said it is exciting to raise a child in a music oriented home, adding that his daughter Adejare Kosoko may one day follow in their footsteps as a singer or performer.
He noted that growing up in a creative environment has made music a daily part of their family life, with both parents often excing ideas and working on songs at home.
During the same interview the singer also addressed recent online rumours suggesting that the couple welcomed twins. He dismissed the reports as false, clarifying that they recently had a baby boy instead.
According to him social media speculation had exaggerated the news but he simply wanted to set the record straight about their growing family.
Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first child Adejare in May 2020. The couple remains one of Nigeria’s most popular celebrity music families.
