Adeboye Says Nigeria’s Next President Already Chosen by God

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has stated that Nigeria’s next president has already been determined by God, describing the outcome of the 2027 election as divinely settled.

Adeboye made the remark during a workers meeting at Redemption City along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, where he addressed congregants on faith, leadership, and national direction. According to him, human efforts or political maneuvering cannot alter what has already been ordained.

He explained that God, being all knowing, has already decided who will lead the country long before now. He emphasized that divine authority surpasses human expectations, urging Nigerians not to be anxious about political outcomes.

“The one that will rule has been decided by God before we were born. He knows the end from the beginning,” he said, reinforcing his belief that the process is beyond human control.

The cleric encouraged worshippers to remain focused on their spiritual responsibilities rather than political distractions. He advised them to continue praying, winning souls, and staying committed to their faith and daily pursuits.

Adeboye also addressed ongoing conversations within Christian circles about spiritual leadership. Reacting to comments that he, David Oyedepo, and William Kumuyi are denominational fathers rather than leaders of all Christians in Nigeria, he expressed full agreement.

He clarified that his primary responsibility is to lead RCCG, not to assume a broader spiritual authority over all Christian denominations in the country. This, he noted, allows each ministry leader to focus on their specific calling and assignment.

The statement comes amid increasing political discussions ahead of the 2027 general elections, with religious voices continuing to play influential roles in shaping public discourse.
