Nollywood couple Adebimpe Oyebade and Lateef Adedimeji have publicly clarified that viral photos of supposed triplets circulating on social media are not genuine.
The clarification comes shortly after the couple announced the arrival of their triplets following five years of waiting, a development that drew widespread celebration from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry.
However, shortly after their naming ceremony, images began circulating online showing the couple posing with newborn triplets, sparking confusion and reactions among followers.
In a statement shared via Instagram, Adebimpe Oyebade explained that the images being widely shared are AI generated and not photographs of their children. She urged the public to disregard the misleading content and wait for official images to be released at the appropriate time.
She also hinted that authentic photos of their babies would be shared later, thanking fans for their love and support during the period.
Similarly, Lateef Adedimeji addressed the issue on X, formerly Twitter, confirming that the viral images are not real. He appreciated fans for their goodwill but emphasized that the circulating baby photos were artificially generated.
The couple’s clarification has reignited conversations about the growing use of AI generated images on social media and the spread of misinformation involving public figures.
Fans have since continued to congratulate the couple while awaiting official photographs of their newborns.
