ADC Congratulates Newly Elected State Executives and Announces Inauguration Date for 2026

The African Democratic Congress ADC has congratulated its newly elected State Executives and State Chairmen across Nigeria following the successful completion of its state congresses held nationwide. The party described the exercise as peaceful, orderly, and consistent with its internal democratic principles.

In a statement shared on social media platform X on Sunday, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed that the elections were conducted in line with the party constitution and all relevant legal frameworks governing political activities in the country.

He stated that the outcome of the congresses reflects the party commitment to transparency, accountability, and internal democracy, noting that members demonstrated maturity throughout the process.

According to the statement, the African Democratic Congress extended its appreciation to all party members and stakeholders who participated in the exercise, praising their discipline and collective sense of purpose during the elections.

The party also announced that the formal inauguration of the newly elected State Executives is scheduled for May 12, 2026, although it noted that the date remains subject to possible adjustment by the National Working Committee if necessary.

The statement further urged the newly elected officials to remain focused on the party vision as they prepare to assume leadership roles at the state level. It emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and dedication in building a stronger political platform capable of serving citizens effectively.

The ADC expressed confidence that the new leadership team would strengthen its structures across the country and expand its influence in preparation for future political engagements.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to providing a credible alternative for Nigerians and encouraged the incoming executives to work closely with members to achieve its long term objectives.
