Addressing nominees for the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Oshiomhole acknowledged their qualifications but stressed that policy decisions are more critical than credentials. He highlighted the urgent need for deliberate state support of local, labor-intensive industries to generate employment opportunities.
Oshiomhole strongly criticized the immediate past leadership, particularly celebrating the removal of Engineer Farouk Ahmed.
