Atiku’s Spokesman Rebukes Oshiomhole, Blames APC for Nigeria’s Woes

Phrank Shaibu, spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, has strongly answered Senator Adams Oshiomhole after Oshiomhole said Atiku was not fit to lead Nigeria.

Oshiomhole had argued that Atiku failed to steady the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and so could not run a large country. Shaibu replied on 𝕏, saying Oshiomhole has no right to lecture on leadership because the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed to fix Nigeria after eight years under the late Muhammadu Buhari and nearly three years under President Bola Tinubu.

Shaibu also pointed out that Atiku was never the PDP national chairman and is not the sole person in charge of the party, so he cannot be blamed for every internal problem. He said the PDP is not run as a private estate like the APC is accused of being.

“Before You Speak, Check the Mirror. Adams Oshiomhole’s attempt to question Atiku Abubakar’s capacity is nothing more than a tired distraction from the monumental failures of the APC, the very party he helped foist on Nigeria, and the same party that has driven the country to its worst state in decades. @atikuwas Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, not the national chairman of the PDP, and certainly not the sole administrator of a political institution with thousands of independent leaders across the country.

“Leadership in a democratic party is not dictatorship. The PDP, unlike the APC, was never a private estate controlled from Bourdillon, where one individual tele-guides decisions and stifles internal democracy.

“If Oshiomhole seeks the man who “fixed a party” into a personal empire, he needs only look at the godfather he serves. Under the APC, party supremacy d, dissent was criminalised, and institutions of state became partisan weapons. That is the only kind of “fixing” Oshiomhole understands.

“Atiku’s record speaks for itself: He rebuilt the economy as chairman of the National Economic Council. He championed reforms that attracted investment and strengthened the private sector. He has never been President, yet his development blueprint remains the most coherent Nigeria has seen in decades.

“The real question is this: If the APC could not fix Nigeria after eight wasted years and nearly 3 years of Tinubu, what moral authority does Oshiomhole have to comment on leadership? Nigerians know the truth. Atiku Abubakar represents vision, experience, and capacity. Oshiomhole represents noise, propaganda, and the bruising legacy of a party that betrayed the hopes of millions. He should sit this one out.”

Shaibu closed by telling Oshiomhole to focus on his own party’s record instead of ing Atiku.

  • I think blaming one party for all of Nigerias problems is oversimplifying. There are always multiple factors at play.

  • I disagree, blaming APC alone for Nigerias issues is oversimplifying. Both parties share responsibility. Lets look at the bigger picture.

  • I think both APC and PDP are responsible for Nigerias issues. Lets not play the blame game. Time for real solutions.

  • I cant believe Atikus spokesman blamed APC for Nigerias issues. Do you think theyre just shifting blame? Lets discuss!
