United States President Donald Trump has said that Iran permitted the passage of 10 oil tankers through the strategic Strait of Hormuz as a “present” to demonstrate its willingness to engage in negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.

Speaking on Thursday, Trump referred to earlier remarks about a “gift” from Tehran, explaining that eight large oil tankers were initially allowed to pass through the vital waterway earlier in the week, followed by two additional vessels.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical النفط transit routes in the world, serving as a gateway for a significant portion of global oil exports. Any disruption in the channel typically has immediate implications for international energy markets and geopolitical ility.

Trump’s comments suggest a potential shift in tensions between the United States and Iran, with the reported move being interpreted as a signal of goodwill amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.

While no formal agreement has yet been announced, the gesture could indicate a willingness on both sides to de escalate hostilities and explore a negotiated resolution.

Observers note that such actions, if sustained, could help ilize global oil supply and reduce volatility in energy prices, especially given the strategic importance of the Strait to major oil producing and consuming nations.

The development comes as international attention remains focused on efforts to resolve the conflict and restore ility in the region through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
