Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has dismissed calls to engage in a public dispute with social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, stating that his priority remains ensuring justice in the ongoing legal matter involving businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika.

Sowore’s reaction followed a recent court appearance where VDM and Blord were seen excing handshakes, sparking speculation of a possible reconciliation. Despite the gesture, VDM reportedly criticized Sowore, accusing him of escalating the situation and framing the controversy as a personal issue.

Responding to the remarks, Sowore maintained that his involvement in the case was solely to protect Blord’s rights and secure his release on bail. He emphasized that his legal team had been directed to ensure due process and a fair resolution.

According to him, recent developments in court validate his position, as the case appears to be shifting in line with his earlier assertions. He also addressed alleged threats against him, expressing readiness to face any consequences if it means safeguarding others from injustice.

Sowore, however, made it clear that engaging in a war of words with VDM is not his style, stressing that his concern lies more with the role of law enforcement authorities in the matter.

The controversy originated from accusations made by VDM against Blord, including claims of impersonation and misuse of identity. The dispute later escalated into legal proceedings, with Blord denying all charges brought against him.

In a recent twist, the presiding judge reportedly stepped aside from the case, directing that it be reassigned, while adjourning proceedings for further mention.

As public reactions continue online, the latest developments suggest a possible easing of tensions between the parties, even as the legal process unfolds.
