Soludo Swears In 18 Commissioners and New Appointees in Anambra

Chukwuma Soludo on Monday inaugurated 18 commissioners alongside four additional appointees as members of the Anambra State Executive Council during a ceremony held at the Government House in Awka.

The governor assigned portfolios to the newly appointed commissioners as part of efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery across the state.

Among those sworn in were Ben Odoemena as Commissioner for Agriculture, Chukwukadibia Okoye for Budget and Economic Planning, Udoji Amedu for Culture Entertainment and Tourism, and Ekene Ogugua for Education.

Other commissioners include Clem Aguiyi, Afam Obidike, Law Mefor and Offornze Amucheazi.

The governor also appointed Charles Ofoegbu, Chijioke Ojukwu, Casmir Agummadu and Okey Ezeobi among others.

Additional appointees sworn in include Emeka Okonkwo, Ossy Onuko, Fred Agbata and Obi Okonkwo.

Speaking during the inauguration, Governor Soludo described the appointments as a call to service, sacrifice and accountability. He urged the new officials to remain focused on governance and reminded them that their actions and decisions would directly impact millions of residents across Anambra State.

The governor stressed the importance of transparency, dedication and effective leadership as his administration continues efforts to improve infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic development in the state.
