Seyi Tinubu has encouraged celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest to remain hopeful after failing to secure the All Progressives Congress APC ticket for the Orsu Orlu Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The APC primary election was held on Saturday as part of preparations for the 2027 general election. Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as the Imo State coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had contested for the House of Representatives ticket under the ruling party after purchasing his expression of interest and nomination forms.

The socialite and businessman had explained that his political ambition was inspired by his desire to promote youth empowerment, grassroots development and encourage more young people to participate actively in politics within the constituency.

Despite his popularity and support base, he was unable to secure the party’s ticket during the primary election.

Reacting to the outcome on Sunday through his Instagram story, Seyi Tinubu, who is also the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, shared a message of encouragement with the businessman.

According to him, setbacks in politics and life can sometimes lead to greater opportunities and future victories.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.

The message has since attracted reactions from supporters of both figures, with many praising the show of solidarity and encouragement following the APC primary contest.
