Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has formally accepted his appointment as Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, setting the stage for what promises to be a pivotal campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. The Zamfara West senator announced his acceptance in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja, expressing both gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility for the crucial role entrusted to him by the ruling party.
In his acceptance remarks, Yari thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership for placing their confidence in his ability to steer the presidential campaign to victory. The former Zamfara governor emphasized that he does not take the appointment lightly, acknowledging the weight of expectations that comes with leading the party’s most important electoral effort in the coming cycle.
