President Bola Tinubu Returns To Abuja After Eid El Fitri Celebrations And UK Visit

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday returned to Abuja after celebrating Eid El Fitri and completing a historic state visit to the United Kingdom. His plane departed from the Presidential Wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport at 6.44 pm.

The President had returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom in the early hours of Friday and participated in the Eid El Fitri prayers held at Dodan Barracks in Lagos. During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu received 23 governors, including Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

He also met with Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, an EU delegation, and members of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council GAC. Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Lagos to brief the President on his trip to Borno State following a recent ing.

The departure ceremony at the airport was attended by Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun and former Ogun State Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba. Other dignitaries present included Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, senior government officials, and party stalwarts.

President Tinubu’s return to Abuja marks the resumption of his official duties after a week of international diplomacy and local celebrations. Observers note that his engagements during the UK visit strengthened bilateral relations while his meetings in Lagos underscored collaboration with governors, business leaders, and advisory bos.

The President’s schedule highlights the administration’s focus on national security economic growth, and intergovernmental cooperation, alongside cultural and religious commitments.
