Afrobeats artiste Portable has reacted angrily to his defeat against skit maker Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing bout held at Chaos in the Ring 4 in Lagos, describing the result as unfair and claiming he was “robbed.”
Speaking in a live Instagram video shortly after the match, Portable insisted the fight was biased and questioned the judging process. He alleged that several of his punches were not properly counted and accused Carter Efe of using his height and reach advantage unfairly during the contest.
According to him, the outcome did not reflect what happened inside the ring. He further directed criticism at the organisers, demanding what he described as unpaid earnings linked to streaming revenue from the event.
Despite his frustration, Portable shifted focus to personal news, announcing the birth of his son and stating that his family meant more to him than any boxing title. He emphasized that while belts can be bought, children cannot, suggesting that his priorities remain unced despite the defeat.
The fight itself was decisively scored in favour of Carter Efe by all three judges, with a 27–30 unanimous decision. The comedian controlled the bout from start to finish, using his height advantage and cleaner combinations to outbox Portable over three rounds.
Before the match, Portable had expressed confidence, referencing past victories over entertainers such as Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, and promising another win. Carter Efe, however, responded with equal confidence, predicting a quick outcome.
In the end, the bout marked a clear shift in the celebrity boxing scene, with Carter Efe emerging as the new champion while Portable’s unbeaten run in exhibition fights came to an end.
