India’s policy think tank NITI Aayog released three major reports on January 29 2026 focusing on the circular economy digital literacy and s development, as part of efforts to support sustainable growth and workforce readiness across the country.
The reports were unveiled during a policy event in Jaipur Rajasthan and outlined strategies to improve resource efficiency reduce waste and expand digital access. One report detailed pathways for adopting circular economy practices in key sectors such as manufacturing construction and agriculture to minimize environmental impact while boosting productivity.
Another report examined the state of digital literacy in India identifying gaps in access ss and infrastructure particularly in rural and underserved regions. It proposed targeted interventions including public private partnerships expanded training programs and integration of digital ss into school curricula.
The third report focused on future workforce readiness emphasizing the need for resing and upsing in response to rapid technological ce. Recommendations included aligning vocational training with industry needs and strengthening data driven labor market planning.
Senior government officials said the findings would inform upcoming policy decisions and support India’s long term development goals. They emphasized that sustainable resource use and digital inclusion are critical to maintaining economic competitiveness.
NITI Aayog stated that implementation of the recommendations would involve collaboration with state governments industry stakeholders and educational institutions over the coming years.
