A United States transparency advocacy group has launched a temporary exhibition in New York featuring millions of pages of documents connected to late financier and convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The exhibition titled “The Donald J Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room” was created by the Institute of Primary Facts and contains approximately 3.5 million pages of files released by the United States Department of Justice under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

The massive collection has been arranged into 3437 printed volumes displayed on shelves inside a temporary library located in Tribeca New York. According to the organisers the project aims to promote transparency and public awareness regarding corruption and accountability in the United States.

Visitors interested in viewing the files can register online to access the exhibition which will remain open until May 21. However due to errors by the Department of Justice involving unredacted names of some victims public access to the actual documents has been restricted. Only certain professionals including journalists and lawyers are permitted to directly consult the files.

The exhibition also highlights the past relationship between United States President Donald Trump and Epstein who d in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on trafficking charges involving minors.

According to reports Trump and Epstein maintained a friendship for many years before reportedly falling out in 2004 over a property dispute. Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing despite appearing multiple times in the released documents.

One of the project creators David Garrett said the exhibition was designed to encourage public discussion and accountability concerning the handling of the Epstein files by government officials.

The organisers insist the display is part of a broader effort to educate citizens about democracy transparency and the importance of public oversight in political and legal matters.
