Nollywood actor and CEO of LAIBAN Films International, Laide Olabanji, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over what he described as the government’s inability to protect lives and property in Nigeria amid worsening insecurity.
The filmmaker expressed concern over rising cases of ings across the country, particularly the reported beheading of a teacher in Oyo State and ongoing s by bandits in Plateau State.
Olabanji accused the government of failing to respond adequately to the security situation, questioning its commitment to the safety of citizens.
Speaking in pidgin English, he lamented the continuous loss of lives, saying Nigerians are dying daily while the government appears unresponsive to their plight.
“On your mandate we dey cry, on your mandate people dey . Nigerians are being ed every minute and nothing is being done,” he said.
He further questioned the leadership’s priorities, suggesting that if the government could not immediately address economic challenges such as electricity, road infrastructure, hunger, and fuel prices, it should at least ensure adequate security for citizens.
Sharing his concerns on Instagram, Olabanji wrote that Nigeria is “bleeding” due to ongoing ings by bandits and kidnappers, urging the government to take urgent action to stop the violence.
His comments add to growing public criticism over insecurity in several parts of the country, where communities continue to experience s despite repeated assurances from authorities.
Olabanji called on the government to show greater responsibility and urgency in addressing the security crisis affecting different regions of Nigeria.
