The Tinubu Young Generation Forum (TYGF) has unveiled a new leadership and mentorship initiative aimed at grooming young Nigerians for future leadership roles.

The programme is designed to sustain President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through structured capacity building, ss development, and professional training.

Prince Kevin, the national president of the forum, announced the initiative during a national executive committee meeting held in Abuja.

He explained that the programme focuses on identifying and training ambitious young people with leadership potential by providing mentorship, developing emotional intelligence, and imparting governance-oriented ss to prepare them for responsible leadership in society.

Elished to champion youth capacity building, mentorship, and empowerment, the TYGF aims to institutionalize the mentorship culture inspired by President Tinubu’s long-standing support for aspiring leaders throughout his political career as governor, senator, and now president.

“Mr President has consistently supported and mentored aspiring leaders across generations. This forum seeks to institutionalize that mentorship and make it accessible to young people who aspire to serve and lead competently,” Prince Kevin said.

Highlighting the importance of early mentorship and leadership training, Kevin noted that many leadership challenges in Nigeria stem from a lack of proper guidance at formative stages. The forum plans to collaborate with seasoned mentors and professionals to equip youths with essential governance ss, emotional intelligence, and leadership values critical for national development.

The initiative is set to commence next year at the grassroots level, covering all 36 states of the federation. Prince Kevin emphasized ongoing planning and stakeholder engagement to ensure the programme’s success.

“We are engaging youths in collaboration with the government. We have conducted engagement programmes, mentored young people on s development, and supported them with empowerment initiatives. Planning and stakeholder engagement are ongoing ahead of next year’s programme,” he said.

Additionally, the forum will provide beneficiaries with practical tools related to their chosen ss, such as sewing machines, clippers, and cameras, to support their empowerment and professional growth.
