The Nigeria Police Force has announced that the screening of shortlisted applicants for the ongoing recruitment of 50000 police will begin in Oyo State on March 9 2026. The exercise is being conducted in collaboration with the Police Service Commission as part of efforts to strengthen the nation security workforce.
According to the Oyo State Police Command the screening exercise will run from Monday March 9 2026 to Friday April 18 2026. Applicants who have been shortlisted are expected to attend the screening strictly on the date and time stated on their invitation slips.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State Ayanlade Olayinka made this known in a statement issued on Friday. He explained that the screening will take place at the Officers Mess located within the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters in Eleyele.
Shortlisted candidates have been advised to visit the official police recruitment portal to confirm their status and print all necessary documents before arriving at the screening venue.
Applicants are required to present several documents including their invitation slip with the assigned table screening forms proof of physical and mental fitness from a government approved medical hospital National Identification Number printout or NIMC card O Level certificate birth certificate or declaration of age and a certificate of local government or state of origin signed by the appropriate authority.
Candidates applying for specialist positions must also present their trade test certificate together with a completed guarantors form. All original and duplicate credentials must be neatly arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
The command also directed that applicants should attend the screening dressed in a white T shirt white shorts white canvas shoes and white stockings as required for the exercise.
The Commissioner of Police in the state Femi Haruna assured applicants that the recruitment process is free transparent and based on merit while warning them to avoid fraudulent individuals.
