The Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria Enugu Depot Community, Chinedu Anyaso, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Nnewi North Nnewi South Ekwusigo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

Anyaso, a prominent member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, made the declaration at his residence in Ekwulummili located in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The event was attended by party leaders and stakeholders of APGA in the Ekwulummili Ward who gathered to show support for his ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the declaration, Anyaso explained that his decision to run for office was driven by his desire to provide strong representation for the constituency at the National Assembly and to support ongoing development efforts in the state. He emphasized that effective legislative representation would help complement the work of the state government.

He praised the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, for what he described as visionary leadership and developmental progress across the state. According to him, the achievements of the administration have strengthened the position of APGA as a dominant political force in Anambra.

Anyaso also pledged to focus on initiatives that would promote economic growth in the constituency. He highlighted key areas such as trade, commerce, industrial development and agriculture as sectors that require strong legislative backing and federal support.

The aspirant noted that his previous leadership role within IPMAN allowed him to serve petroleum marketers across several states including Enugu State, Ebonyi State, Abia State, Imo State, Kogi State and Benue State, experience he believes has prepared him for national legislative responsibilities.

Party stakeholders present at the event described Anyaso as a committed party loyalist and a capable leader. They expressed confidence that his candidacy would strengthen APGA’s chances in the constituency while advancing development goals for the people.
