Civil defence authorities in the Gaza Strip reported that dozens of people were ed following a new wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple locations across the enclave. Rescue teams said residential buildings and surrounding infrastructure were hit in densely populated districts, complicating emergency response efforts.

Officials from the Hamas run civil defence service stated that search and recovery operations were ongoing, with additional casualties feared beneath collapsed structures. Medical facilities already operating at limited capacity struggled to accommodate the influx of wounded, according to hospital administrators.

The Israeli military said its operations were directed at armed groups and associated facilities, asserting that efforts were made to minimize civilian harm. International humanitarian organizations expressed alarm at the rising civilian toll and reiterated calls for an immediate de escalation of hostilities. The United Nations urged all parties to adhere to international humanitarian law and to facilitate access for emergency aid.

Regional mediators continued consultations aimed at restoring a temporary ceasefire. Analysts warned that sustained air operations risk further deilizing the already fragile humanitarian situation, with electricity shortages, damaged water networks, and displacement compounding civilian hardship.
