The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, has congratulated the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, following his return to office after the party’s convention.

Yilwatda and members of the National Working Committee were returned unopposed by thousands of delegates from across the country, a development widely seen as a strong endorsement of his leadership.

In a statement personally signed on Sunday, Tenebe described the outcome of the convention as a clear reflection of the trust and confidence party members have in Yilwatda’s experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to the growth of the APC.

He noted that Yilwatda’s emergence comes at a critical time in Nigeria’s political landscape, adding that it is expected to bring renewed optimism, ility, and strategic direction to the ruling party at all levels.

“On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of the APC in Edo State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your well earned election as National Chairman of our great party,” Tenebe said.

The Edo APC chairman further emphasized that the overwhelming support from delegates underscores Yilwatda’s credibility and dedication to the ideals of the party. He expressed confidence that under his leadership, the APC would continue to strengthen its internal structures and promote internal democracy.

Tenebe also reaffirmed the support of the Edo State chapter of the party, assuring that members remain committed to working with the national leadership to achieve greater success in future elections.

Yilwatda, a former minister and academic, assumed office as APC national chairman in 2025 following a consensus backed by party stakeholders, with a mandate to unify and reposition the party ahead of future political contests.
