Alex Otti Confident of a Smoother Re-Election in 2027

Governor Alex Otti has expressed optimism that his re-election in 2027 will be easier than his previous campaigns.

Speaking at the 2025 Aro Day event in Arochukwu Local Government Area, he attributed this confidence to the achievements his administration has made since taking office.

Otti, the only Labour Party governor, reassured the public that unlike in 2023 when promises were made, the 2027 campaign would focus on tangible results that people can already see.

He said, “Just like it happened in 2023, 2027 will even be smoother, I can assure you. Why am I so confident? I’m confident because in 2023, we were selling promises, but now there are one or two things we can point to.”

He also noted that many people are unnecessarily worrying about the 2027 elections, even though the year is still some time away.
