In a significant operation aimed at curbing the supply of arms to criminal elements, troops from Operation Fansan Yanma have successfully neutralized a suspected arms supplier in Zamfara State. The incident took place during a night operation in the area of Nasarawa Burkullu, as reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama via his official X account.

The operation was based on credible intelligence which led security forces to intercept the suspect, known to be an arms trafficker from Anka, in the act of moving weapons to bandits. Upon encountering the troops, the suspect tried to flee the scene but was quickly dealt with by the forces.

Preliminary investigations have substantiated that the individual was indeed in the process of delivering firearms and ammunition to bandit groups active in Zamfara State. This action is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to dismantle the logistical support networks that sustain banditry and other forms of criminality in the region.

This operation underscores the commitment of the Nigerian military to disrupt the flow of illicit arms, which is crucial in reducing the capacity of bandits to carry out s and maintain their operations across the state.
