Nigerian actress Wumi Toriola has reacted after a video of her exce with popular influencer Enioluwa surfaced online, sparking widespread debate on social media.

The incident happened at an event in Lagos State on Saturday evening where several celebrities were in attendance, including Ini Edo and Eniola Ajao.

In the now viral clip, Enioluwa was seen approaching Wumi Toriola in a cheerful mood and greeting her while attempting to hug her. He was heard saying “Wumi how are you?”

However, the actress appeared displeased with the manner she was addressed and immediately pushed him back, questioning why he called her by her name directly.

She was heard reacting strongly, insisting that he should not have addressed her that way and stating that she expected a more respectful form of greeting.

Enioluwa quickly responded by clarifying that he said “Aunty Wumi how are you” and denied any disrespect in his greeting.

The actress, still visibly upset, maintained that she deserved a more formal greeting and insisted that younger persons should show respect in their manner of approach.

The video sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting Wumi Toriola stance on respect, while others criticized her reaction as excessive.

Following the backlash and ongoing debate about age and respect, Wumi Toriola took to her Instagram story to respond indirectly to the controversy.

She addressed discussions about her age, stating that people often underestimate her because of her youthful appearance and family genetics.

She also referenced her educational timeline, explaining that she completed secondary school in 2003 to clarify assumptions being made online.

According to available public information, Enioluwa was born in 1999 while Wumi Toriola was born in 1988, a detail that further fueled online discussions about respect, age differences, and social etiquette.

The incident continues to generate reactions across social media, with users divided over expectations of respect in celebrity interactions.
