President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies and strengthen public service administration across the country.
The announcement was made in a statement issued in Abuja by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
According to the statement the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Warrens Augusta from Bayelsa State Jones Nebo Bella from Enugu State Aminu Yargaya from Kano State and Shoretire Kamil from Ogun State.
Olotu explained that the appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process designed to ensure that only qualified and competent individuals emerge for such critical leadership positions within the federal bureaucracy. She noted that the process aligns with the administration’s commitment to merit based appointments and professional excellence in the civil service.
She further stated that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring their wealth of experience and professional expertise to their respective roles. Their appointments according to her will strengthen governance structures improve efficiency in government institutions and support the delivery of key development priorities of the federal government.
Reacting to the development the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Didi Walson Jack congratulated the new appointees and praised President Tinubu for his continued commitment to transparency professionalism and meritocracy within the public service.
Walson Jack noted that the appointments reflect the administration’s determination to build a competent results oriented civil service capable of delivering effective services to Nigerians. She emphasized that strengthening the leadership structure of the civil service is crucial for achieving national development goals and improving governance across government institutions.
The appointments are expected to fill critical vacancies within the federal civil service while reinforcing institutional capacity and administrative efficiency across key ministries departments and agencies of government.
