Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has shared candid insights into her dating life, revealing that she is not open to being romantically involved with actors.

Speaking on the podcast I Said What I Said, the actress described her experiences with dating in Lagos as challenging, adding that she often receives attention from admirers through her social media direct messages.

According to her, her inbox is frequently flooded with messages from men showing interest, but she believes many of them lack seriousness or intention. She humorously noted that the level of attention she receives is often overwhelming.

Teniola described the Lagos dating scene as complicated and stressful, saying it is difficult to find meaningful connections in the city’s modern relationship environment. However, she clarified that she has not had any truly terrible dates, explaining that she often knows after the first meeting whether she is interested in seeing someone again.

The actress also made it clear that she prefers not to date actors within the film industry. She stated that while she may consider individuals in higher production roles such as producers or directors, she is not interested in forming romantic relationships with fellow actors.

Teniola Aladese began her career working behind the scenes as a production manager before transitioning into acting. She gained recognition for her role in the Africa Magic drama series Jemeji and later won the Trailblazer Award at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

Her comments add to ongoing conversations about dating, relationships, and the challenges of finding compatible partners within Nigeria’s entertainment industry and urban social life.
