Shakira and Burna Boy Release Official 2026 FIFA World Cup Song Dai Dai

Global music star Shakira has officially released “Dai Dai” as the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in collaboration with Nigerian Grammy winning Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.

The highly anticipated track was announced by Shakira on her social media platforms on Friday with the singer declaring that the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup had officially begun. The song is now available across major streaming services including Spotify Apple Music YouTube Music and Amazon Music.

According to FIFA the song captures the energy passion and global unity expected to define the upcoming tournament. FIFA also confirmed that “Dai Dai” will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund which aims to raise 100 million dollars to provide children worldwide with access to education and football opportunities.

Shakira has pledged to donate her royalties from the song to the initiative while Sony Music will contribute additional funding toward the campaign. The track contains motivational lyrics focused on resilience ambition unity and hope.

The song also pays tribute to legendary football icons including Pelé, go Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Mohamed Salah among others.

The release marks Shakira’s return to the FIFA World Cup music stage after the global success of “Waka Waka” in 2010 and “La La La” in 2014.

For Burna Boy the collaboration represents another major milestone for Nigerian music globally. He becomes the second Nigerian artiste to feature on an official FIFA World Cup soundtrack after Davido appeared on the 2022 World Cup song “Hayya Hayya”.

FIFA also announced that Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema will headline the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Los Angeles.
