A historic military parade in Beijing marked the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II, featuring Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. This unprecedented meeting highlighted a strategic alignment among these nations, signaling their collective stance against perceived Western dominance.

Held in Tiananmen Square, the parade showcased China’s military advancements, including hypersonic missiles and advanced drones. Xi, in a Mao-style suit, delivered a keynote speech underscoring China’s historical resilience and advocating for a new global order led by Beijing. He warned of a critical juncture between peace and war, implicitly criticizing U.S. policies under President Donald Trump.

Putin’s address to Xi as a “dear friend” emphasized the unprecedented strength of Russia-China relations, while Kim’s attendance with his daughter Ju Ae debuting on the international stage reinforced his leadership position and succession plans.

The event attracted over 50,000 spectators and featured high-tech weaponry, reflecting Xi’s intention to project power and unity both domestically and internationally. In response, U.S. President Trump issued a warning about the alignment of these nations against the U.S., urging China to acknowledge American wartime assistance. Meanwhile, the Kremlin denied any conspiratorial motives regarding Putin’s collaboration with Xi and Kim, asserting that no such plots were considered.

This gathering of Xi, Putin, and Kim signifies a notable geopolitical shift, showcasing a concerted effort among these nations to challenge Western influence and assert their strategic interests on the global stage.
