President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have paid tribute to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on his 84th birthday. In a joint statement, the First Family described Pastor Adeboye as one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts and a spiritual fortress interceding for the nation and its people to God Almighty.

The tribute highlighted Pastor Adeboye’s humility, wisdom, and contributions beyond the pulpit, including philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. The President and First Lady celebrated the grace of stewardship and leadership that has marked the life of the revered clergyman, fondly known as Daddy G.O.

They extended congratulations to Pastor Adeboye, his wife Pastor Foluke, members of the RCCG, and the broader Body of Christ, expressing gratitude to God for his exceptional life of impact that transcends cultures and borders. “We thank the Lord’s own servant for his unceasing prayers for our nation and commend his patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and commitment to Nigeria’s progress,” the statement read.

The tribute also acknowledged Pastor Adeboye’s unique leadership role, noting that his teachings over the past five decades continue to shape and transform lives across generations in Nigeria and beyond. The President and First Lady prayed for God Almighty to continue to bless him with good health and strength as he carries on his ministry in the Lord’s vineyard.

Pastor Adeboye’s birthday celebration is not only a recognition of his spiritual influence but also an acknowledgment of his enduring contributions to national development, moral guidance, and humanitarian efforts across Nigeria and the world.
