Pakistan Launches Review of National Education Policy

Pakistani officials confirmed on January 31 2026 that the government has begun a comprehensive review of the national education policy to address learning gaps access challenges and workforce readiness. The education ministry said the review will examine curriculum standards teacher training digital learning and funding allocation across provinces.

Authorities acknowledged that disparities in education quality remain significant between urban and rural areas. The review aims to strengthen basic education improve literacy outcomes and align ss training with labor market needs.
