NOA Praises Mohammed Idris at 60 for Advancing National Reorientation Agenda

The National Orientation Agency has commended the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, for his leadership and dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s national reorientation efforts.

The Director General of the agency, Lanre Issa Onilu, gave the commendation while celebrating the minister on his 60th birthday. In a statement issued by the Deputy Director, Paul Odenyi, Issa Onilu described Idris as a focused and forward looking leader whose contributions have brought renewed direction to the information and orientation sector.

He noted that under Idris leadership, government communication has become clearer, more structured, and consistent, helping citizens better understand policies and programmes. According to him, this has fostered a more informed and engaged population while strengthening trust in public institutions.

Issa Onilu also highlighted the minister’s emphasis on national values such as unity, discipline, civic responsibility, and patriotism. He said these efforts have played a key role in shaping public discourse and encouraging Nigerians to take greater responsibility for national development and ility.

The NOA boss further stated that Idris commitment to truthful and timely communication has helped counter misinformation and promote responsible information sharing across the country. He added that agencies under the ministry have benefited from his leadership, gaining clearer direction in their engagement with citizens.

He reaffirmed the agency’s resolve to support the minister’s vision by intensifying grassroots sensitisation campaigns aimed at promoting integrity, discipline, and active citizenship among Nigerians.

Issa Onilu concluded by wishing Idris continued good health, long life, and greater accomplishments in service to the nation.
