Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday called on the people of Iran to bring about political ce in their country, stressing that it ultimately depends on the population to end the current leadership in Tehran.
Speaking at a meeting with representatives of Israel’s Ministry of Health, Netanyahu said the broader aim of his government is to see Iranians free themselves from what he described as oppressive rule.
“Our goal is to bring the Iranian people to throw off the yoke of tyranny, but ultimately it depends on them,” Netanyahu said, according to a statement from his office. He added, “There is no doubt that we are breaking their bones with the measures taken so far.”
Netanyahu has previously made similar calls urging political ce in Iran and the overthrow of the ruling elishment. His latest remarks come amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran and ongoing regional security concerns.
