Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium must be removed before the United States and Israel can consider their military conflict with Iran fully concluded. Speaking during an interview scheduled to air on CBS 60 Minutes on Sunday, Netanyahu stressed that the issue remains unresolved as long as Iran still possesses nuclear material and active enrichment facilities.
According to Netanyahu, the war cannot be declared over because Iran continues to hold enriched uranium that could potentially be used in future nuclear development. He also insisted that Iran’s enrichment sites must be dismantled completely to eliminate what Israel sees as a continuing security threat in the region.
During the interview, Netanyahu was asked directly how the enriched uranium could be removed from Iran. In response, he said, “You go in and you take it out,” signaling Israel’s hardline position on Iran’s nuclear capabilities and the measures it believes are necessary to prevent further escalation.
