Kano Governor Visits Singer Market Fire, Seeks Federal Support for Firefighting Equipment

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has visited the scene of a fire at the Singer Market, urging the Federal Government to provide modern firefighting equipment to prevent future incidents.

The Governor toured the Gidan Gilas section of the market, where the fire caused significant damage to shops and property. He commended the efforts of the Kano State Fire Service and security agencies working to contain the blaze, while appealing to traders and residents to remain calm and cooperate with emergency responders.

Governor Yusuf called for air support and essential tools to strengthen fire services’ capacity, emphasizing the need for improved equipment to manage emergencies in major commercial centers effectively.
