India Sends Life Saving Cancer Medicines to Afghanistan Amid Medical Shortages

India has delivered 7.5 tonnes of cancer medicines to Kabul to address urgent medical needs in Afghanistan, officials said.

The consignment is aimed at supporting patients suffering from cancer as the country continues to face severe shortages of essential drugs due to economic strain and a fragile healthcare system.

The medicines were handed over through humanitarian channels to ensure they reach hospitals and treatment centers across Afghanistan.

Indian authorities said the assistance reflects New Delhi’s commitment to humanitarian support for the Afghan people, particularly in critical health sectors.

Health experts say such aid is vital as many Afghan patients struggle to access life saving treatments because of supply disruptions and limited medical infrastructure.
