FULL LIST: 10 African Nations Confirmed For FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2026

The Confederation of African Football has confirmed the 10 countries that will represent Africa at the FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2026, following the conclusion of the CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations playoffs.

Confederation of African Football announced that the final ticket was secured by Uganda after a dramatic penalty out victory over Ghana, completing the continent’s list of representatives for the global tournament.

The match ended 2–2 before Uganda triumphed 8–7 on penalties, sealing their place alongside nine other African nations already qualified through the group and knockout stages.

Mozambique
Uganda

These teams will fly Africa’s flag at the tournament scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 19 to December 13, 2026.

The qualification pathway saw the eight CAF U17 AFCON quarterfinalists automatically qualify, while the final two slots were decided through playoff matches involving third placed teams.

Uganda and Mozambique emerged from the playoff round to complete the African lineup.

Nigeria will not feature at the tournament after failing to qualify for the U17 AFCON, which serves as the main qualification route for the World Cup.

The 2026 edition will feature 48 teams globally, with Africa allocated 10 slots under the expanded FIFA format.

FIFA confirmed that the tournament will be hosted in Qatar and played at the Aspire Zone complex in Doha.
