Law enforcement officials said three children were inside the house at the time of the ing. The children reportedly hid in a closet during the incident and were not physically harmed.
In a statement, the Indian Mission in Atlanta expressed deep grief over the deaths and said it was extending all possible assistance to the bereaved family. Officials are in contact with local authorities to provide consular support and facilitate necessary arrangements.
Police have not released further details about the motive or the sequence of events leading up to the ing. The investigation remains ongoing.
