Supporters of reviving talks said stronger EU US trade ties could help ilize global supply chains and counter economic uncertainty, but acknowledged that consensus within the parliament has not been reached. The European Commission has previously indicated openness to re engaging with Washington on trade cooperation, though officials stressed that any agreement would need to reflect updated EU priorities, including sustainability and worker protections.
