A coalition of Nigerians in the diaspora under the banner of The Future Platform USA has announced plans to host a major rally in honour of President Bola Tinubu in Atlanta on August 1 2026.

According to the group, the rally is intended to celebrate Tinubu’s leadership, highlight the achievements of his administration, and strengthen support for his policy direction among Nigerians living abroad. Organisers say the event will also serve as a platform to promote unity and collaboration between Nigeria and its diaspora community.

Convener of the platform, Austin Dafe, described the initiative as part of broader efforts to mobilise Nigerians overseas toward contributing to national development. He noted that the rally represents a collective commitment by diaspora citizens to actively support governance and national progress.

Dafe added that the gathering would demonstrate solidarity with the President while also helping to reposition Nigeria on the global stage through stronger international engagement.

Also speaking, the group’s Publicity Secretary, Olakunle Olaosebikan, said the event is designed to unite Nigerians abroad around shared goals of progress and constructive engagement. He explained that participants would come together under a common vision aimed at strengthening national cohesion.

The organisers disclosed that the rally is expected to attract high profile political figures and stakeholders from Nigeria and across the diaspora. It will feature goodwill messages, networking opportunities, and participation from supporters and friends of Nigeria in the United States and beyond.

Describing the gathering as a defining moment, the group said it marks the beginning of renewed diaspora political engagement focused on ility, inclusive growth, and long term development.

The Future Platform USA has extended an open invitation to Nigerians living abroad and other interested participants, encouraging them to attend and contribute to shaping Nigeria’s future narrative.
