Dereck Chisora has predicted that Anthony Joshua will knock out Tyson Fury within four rounds when the two British heavyweights eventually meet in a highly anticipated showdown.
Chisora, who has fought Fury multiple times, said he believes Joshua’s commercial appeal and renewed form will give him the edge in what is expected to be one of the biggest boxing bouts in recent history.
Speaking to Sun Sport, Chisora suggested that Fury’s comments about Joshua are driven by jealousy and frustration, insisting that the fight would not go the distance once both men step into the ring.
He claimed that Joshua would dominate early and secure a decisive stoppage, adding that the matchup would attract massive global attention and viewership.
The proposed bout is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia under the Riyadh Season banner, although both fighters are scheduled to take on tune up fights before any official announcement of the clash is confirmed.
Anthony Joshua is set to headline a July 25 card against Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga, marking one of his key preparation fights ahead of a potential mega fight.
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is also expected to take a warm up bout in August as he prepares for what could be one of the most lucrative heavyweight fights in boxing history.
Promoters have stated that the blockbuster clash will only proceed if both fighters win their respective preparatory fights.
The build up to the potential showdown continues to generate intense debate across the boxing world, with fans divided over who would emerge victorious in the long awaited all British heavyweight encounter.
